Aloha, my name is Lauren and I was born and raised on the island of Hawai'i. After 10 years of working in Tech and traveling the world, I have landed back to my home to share and deepen my skills within my community. I feel my work and purpose is still in the process of unfolding, so Hermanas has come to me at the most beautiful time. My dream is to build a multidisciplinary workshop space for my community to connect deeper with the earth, themselves, and the people around them by creating art. Creating a space to share space. Where anyone can feel safe, welcome, and comfortable to expand themselves by learning something new, and explore a deeper remembering of their true purpose. E ola, I cant wait to meet you.

I've curated a list of recommendations for

HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?

To live unconventionality, in all things is the path to show others that change and new possibilities within yourself is possible. To learn and embrace the diversity in every person and thing is knowing that we are all connected to something greater. There is always something more to learn and explore when it is different than yourself, and that is the beauty of this life.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?

Share and give aloha to anyone and everything I meet. Treat every day as an adventure. And of course, to smile everyday.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?

I fuse my passion for travel, culture and art with my background in communications and engagement to create totally new possibilities and opportunities for community growth and sustainability, critical to the new world we are to embark on. Knowing that it is our kuleana (responsibility) to care for the land you are on and the people within, no matter if your lineage is from there or not. Sharing my culture and skills with others generates new possibilities among others and for me as well. This cyclical force of give and take, harmony in the balance is what I strive for in everything I do.
I love to brainstorm with other women about career pivots that further align with your true purpose and values. How to know when it's time to quit and honor yourself. I also am a master travel doula. :)
