I've curated a list of recommendations for

HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?

I’d like to think I’ve been unconventional all my life - both in nature and through nurture. I like taking the road less traveled and do so with intention.
I've been encouraged to travel alone since I was seven. Going to camp not knowing anybody, traveling to Israel for the first time as a fifteen year old with a brother, Rabbi, 6 Catholic kids and 6 Jewish kids, switching to a Quaker high school to learn around a round table, traveling alone on and off for two years, moving to Mexico not speaking Spanish or knowing a single person. When I get comfortable, I create situations that allow me to be uncomfortable and grow through meeting new people. My community in NYC is strong. I live in a sisterhood that I treasure and I think my ability to get up and go inspires my friends to do the same in different capacities in their lives.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?

Reawakening the creativity within me has been an iterative and ongoing process for me, exponentialized (is that word?) by my travels over the past two years.
First, I am a singer. You can listen to my song on Spotify (Catch Me If You Can by Jacqueline Korren x Mop and Broom) and I’m collaborating to produce more now. My Hebrew name is Miriam which is fitting. She represents song and dance in the Torah, two things that run deep throughout my essence.
I also express creatively in business and collaboration. I see synergies between people and ideas and bring them together outside of set rules and roles. I lead partnerships at Faire (www.faire.com) and with four others, started Faire's first sustainability team. Imagining expansive possibilities for the company, bringing our vision to life, convincing internal and external stakeholders and alchemizing that vision into reality is a creative endeavor.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?

I can connect women throughout the community - I am a connector, a doer, a throw shit at the waller, a synergy creator. It is what I do in my professional life, and its what allows me to travel alone but to land in community. I think I have a rare talent of identifying synergies, and a rare confidence x authenticity that allows me to bring those synergies together, uniting people who may never have met.

I can sell anything. When I'm passionate about something, I can convince others to be passionate with me, and when I see the value in something, I'll share it with everybody I know.

Business advice - I am excellent at expanding businesses and doing so resourcefully. I would be happy to mentor and collaborate on this.

I create spaces that allow people to be comfortable being themselves and want to bring that energy to the Hermanas group. Both in my vibe - authentic, vulnerable, unapologetic and in physical spaces. I love fun, hosting, beautiful things, good vibes, sexy lighting and flourishing plants and creating spaces that meld all of these things together.
