In Sacro·Ofício, visual artist and performer Paola Fillippi invites us to go beyond ourselves, a process that allows the individual to become a part of the world. To achieve this, it is necessary to overcome shame, guilt, high speed, procrastination, and permissions. The setting is familiar, an apartment in the city of Lisbon. What sets it apart is the lack of furniture and the walls covered with a collection of different artworks in the fields of painting, writing, photography, and installation that come together to create a symbolic, undecoded narrative that each person must experience in their own way. At the end of the corridor, Paola receives each visitor individually as one of her embodiments. The invitation? Go alone.
