Hello, I’m Tamara. I was burning in a small country called Guyana and moved to the US (New York) at 8. I lived in places such as Sydney and Dubai. Then I became a digital nomad. In this time, I recognized my purpose. I had dealt with issues around my menstrual cycle while I was living in Australia. I had really bad PMDD symptoms and felt so disconnected from my body. It affected my life, my relationships and my work. I’ve since worked hard at healing myself and my body and feeling more connected than ever. I took course and got certified as a menstrual cycle coach, Ayurveda practitioner and Functional Hormone Specialist. While I still work in Marketing, my goal is now to help women reconnect with their bodies especially as they age and feel the shifts of their hormones.
Aside from that I love travel, hiking and dancing. I now live in Lisbon.
HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?
I embrace diversity and unconventionality through travel and curiosity. I’ve lived in and explored different parts of the world, and I make it a point to learn about local cultures—not just on the surface, but by understanding traditions, values, and everyday life. That curiosity extends into how I engage with people too. I love hearing different sides of a story, questioning assumptions, and broadening my perspective. Some of my closest friendships are with people who have completely different backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences. I think that openness not only enriches my personal life but makes me more adaptable and empathetic in everything I do.
HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?
I express myself through moving my body and having deep, soul-enhancing conversations.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?
I bring a unique perspective that bridges the gap between hormonal health and emotional healing. My specialty is helping high-achieving women understand that their hormonal symptoms aren't just physical—they're often rooted in perfectionist patterns, people-pleasing conditioning, and nervous system dysregulation that most practitioners miss.
