A dreamer, doer, deep feeler, creative catalyst and founder who believes that the best way to predict the future is to create it .

In the past year I left my big girl job as Managing Director of a global design agency to start my own freelance creative practice (Studio Melo); where I operate as a fractional creative director to help to clarify vision and build memorable brand experiences for early-stage startups. I am dedicated to helping founders focused on healing the mind, body, spirit or environment.

I believe in abundance, generosity, and co-creating with the universe with others in my orbit. My work and my life are intertwined and I'm interested in connecting with other women who are growth-minded and spend their time intentionally.

I spend my free time with friends, good vino, good music, dancing, and embracing love.

I've curated a list of recommendations for

HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?

I actively seek out opportunities to learn from and collaborate with people from various backgrounds. I believe that by doing so, we can create a more vibrant and innovative community that is open to the richness of human experiences. I moved to CDMX to mindfully immerse in another culture and lifestyle and fulfill my lifelong goal of becoming fluent in Spanish.

For fun: My motto, which I have tattooed on my forearm is, "¿por qué no?" which ties into this ethos of being open-minded and embracing the unconventional.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?

As a designer, a creative practice is woven into every aspect of my life. I consciously curate the spaces I live in; and intentionally build my friend groups to support this mission. I also believe in being radically self-expressed in how I dress in support of my creative vision. I love to move my body, embrace my sexuality, and move stagnant energy all in support of my creativity as well.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?

As someone who's worn many hats in-house and in agency environments, I derive a lot of joy from helping other women advance and develop their careers in mentorship relationships.

As a business-minded creative, I have a passion and knack for jamming on creative concepts with others or offering feedback or a curious soundboard to help others further their future, faster.
