Originally from Panama, I have now lived in NYC for the past two years. Before moving to the US I had the opportunity to work in many different fields that helped shape me for my current ongoing role as an experiential producer. I am an artist by training but have focused on different interests since finishing my schooling.
HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?
Ever since I was little I have been drawn to people and experiences that are completely different than what I have known. I choose to live in NYC after traveling around a bit because I believe it is the cauldron for diversity and unconventionality in this world. There is no better place to be if you want to be taken out of your comfort zone and learning from people that are different from you.
HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?
I enjoy attending classes around the city that help me explore all different kinds of mediums. I love attending drawing sessions at Happy Medium, as drawing live models is a passion of mine. Recently I enrolled in embroidery class and have started to integrate it into my art practice. My next venture is going to be joining a pottery studio.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?
I believe that we live in a world that is designed to make it hard on us to know love and trust ourselves. In my recent years I have understood that while some of us hide it better than others, we all struggle with the noise and chatter of our current world. I have been dreaming of becoming a coach for a long time but it wasn't until recently that my mission has become more clear. I would love nothing more than to offer my time and energy to help people trust themselves and stop looking outside for answers that have always been within.
