I am a multi disciplinary creative and scientific practitioner fiercely passionate about encouraging connection, participation and adventure through experiential and immersive arts and events.

Within my arts practice I work at the nexus of art, science and society, specialising in explosives. I create works which often examine concepts of time, density and matter as well as deep human emotions and motivations.

My company Feral, aims to express the creative spirit of humanity on Earth and in Outer Space. Project subjects span architecture, mental health, spaceflight psychology, mixed reality art, dance, performance, and events.
At the European Space Policy Institute my role as a Global Fellow of Creative Impact is to harness the arts and culture to enhance the impact of their policy work.

HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?

For me unconventionality is part of innovation. Stepping outside the norm or combining elements from disparate sources to make something new is part of the creative process. The deep unknown that is a pleasure to get lost in. Diversity is also directly connected to innovation as diversity brings varied, perspectives, skills and insights that open the door to new paradigms.

Embracing diversity also means that I take my responsibility as a global citizen seriously and contribute by using the resources available to me, be it my voice, money, connections, time etc. to challenge all kinds of diversity bias. I strive to be an effective ally. I do not look away.

I am a member of Women in Aerospace working to address gender disparity (for all) in the space sector. I am also a member of Space Pride working to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community in the space sector.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?

I express myself creatively through all areas of my work life: art, design and as a theatre and events producer.
I love to experiment and innovate with ideas and bring desperate disciplines together.
Beyond work I love to have fun creating costumes for festivals with friends or making decorations for annual holiday themes with family.
I also tap into my creative spiritual consciousness to develop new meditation journeys for my cacao ceremonies.
I also love to move and dance for fun, for release, for healing and connection.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?

I can contribute honest and caring dialog and debate, creative consultation, creative job opportunities, and sharing events that might be of interest to the community.

My areas of expertise include but are not limited to:
The Arts: Fine art, sculpture, performance, sciart, explosives & pyrotechnics, VR (Tilt Brush), Projection mapping, immersive and interactive theatre, writing bios, articles, essays, papers and reports.
Outer space: Space art & culture, space architecture, space policy, physiology and psychology in space, Space applications in particular Earth Observation. Sustainability in space.
Information Systems: Misinformation, fake news, propaganda, the attention economy, social media algorithms.
I would be best to help mentor polymaths who find it hard stick to one disciplines.
