I'm Yamina, Artist, Practitioner and Facilitator exploring the intersections of Art, Movement, Ecology and Culture. I build bridges between story. telling and world building.
Alongside my artistic work, I am also a doula and ceremonialist, supporting women and families through life’s thresholds, holding space for the intelligence of the body and the integrity of ritual in moments of birth and transformation.
In my own lived experience, practice and craft I am informed and inspired by the interconnectivity of all, the fabric and nature of life itself and the profound mystery of being alive.
I like rituals and discipline, and I also love to break the rules.
I embrace nuance and complexity as essential pathways to deeper understanding, meaningful dialogue, and a more harmony in existing together.
Exploring new and diverse perspectives, ways of being, narratives and ideas I see as vital for a healthy cultural ecosystem. I invite this through collaboration, multi disciplinary approaches and bold conversations.
I invite dialogues and exchanges that are challenging and expanding myself and the other. I embrace natures modeling of how different organisms and intelligent systems work together in reciprocated ways rather then competition.
I believe we all hold a very unique and important role in the rich tapestry of life. And I am fascinated to engage with minds and hearts, daring to imagine and courageous to participate in building the worlds we want to see.
