I’m originally from Miami but went to Loyola University in New Orleans. Postgrad, I went to Miami Ad School to become a copywriter, and from there, my career gave me the chance to live in Paris, New York, and Portland. Currently, I live between Miami and Barcelona and have worked remotely for the past 1.5 years. I’m addicted to the beach and creative writing, and I love a good Michelada. I like to think of myself as somewhat of an optimistic realist, even though my ADHD can sometimes spiral into pessimistic territory, but I think that’s everyone. That said, I like to look at my ADHD as a superpower rather than a challenge or a struggle. It gives me the ability to hyper-focus on doing things I love, especially creatively. Plus, I believe it’s helped my creativity flourish and made me great at problem-solving. Which is likely why I work in advertising 😅.
I think you have to step out of your bubble and meet new people to learn about other perspectives to broaden yours. Diversity and being unconventional is the key to unlocking creativity. When you look at things from every angle and from every walk of life there’s no limit to what you can learn and create together. Without this- everything would be the same, and mundane and we wouldn’t grow as individuals. I believe this is how you get to big ideas.
